Any radar target, as an LTI system, has a unique transformation function. The estimation of this transfer function, and specifically its poles in the resonance region, provides information about the shape, dimensions, and material of the target that is independent of the radar's aspect angle, transmitted waveform, polarization, and target velocity and motion. The ultimate goal of this article is to distinguish between the two fighter jets, the F16 and the F22, and the two types of aerial passive decoys, which are among the most important end game countermeasures. The estimation of the received resonant response from targets in the time domain at the minimum SNR of the processing block, i.e. SNR=13dB, was performed by the system identification method without the need to separate the late time response from the early one in two ways: adaptive and constant RMSE, and was compared in terms of processing time and resulting feature spaces. The results show that although the adaptive RMSE mode requires more processing time than the constant RMSE, the data obtained from it has higher accuracy and will allow for the suggestion of more feature spaces. The feature spaces proposed in this paper include the two-dimensional feature space of the pattern of poles and zeros in the complex plane, the two-dimensional feature space of the number of poles and the poles absoloute mean, the two-dimensional feature space of the number of poles and the number of zeros, and the feature space of poles absoloute distribution.
