Peer Review Process

All manuscripts must be submitted to JASP through the online submission system. Please refer to Guide for Authors section of the website before you begin to submit. The author who completes the submission will be designated as the corresponding author and will be responsible for handling communications with the journal.

JASP operates a single-blind review process. All submitted manuscripts from all countries are welcome, and are initially assessed by the editor-in-chief for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of Three independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. Authors are encouraged to suggest names of five expert reviewers; however, selection remains a prerogative of the editor-in-chief. Also, the editor-in-chief is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. No article is rejected unless negative comments are received from at least two reviewers/editorial board members. The Editor's decision is final. Please refer to Persian version of this page to see the flow diagram related to the peer review process in Persian.
